![]() ![]() Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is great and even if it is different from the Manga and Novel, I like enjoying the brothers rather than resenting them, but I still respect the original sources. ![]() Recently I had the urge to get back into Vampire Hunter D, I don't often like reading books, but I would definitely read the novels if I had proper access to them. Another part is sure that stopping after Bloodlust was best, ending on the highest note possible.ฤก0/10, would recommend to anyone that reached the age of reason with no reservation or regret. Part of me wishes we had gotten an entire series of this, or maybe even several. If I had to name one show, movie or franchise that I think came closest to a perfect offering, I'd probably choose Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. It's left to the viewer to decide, which means that the movie and the character can mean something special for many people and for many different reasons. Is D a bitter merciless hunter looking to snuff vampires out for past transgressions? A relic of a bygone era, looking to lay the age of vampires to rest to spare its dignity? Is he hunting because he has a cause to believe in or is it because it's all he has in a world where both vampires and humans despise him for what he is? ![]() The true genius of such a story is that, by staying just vague enough, everybody has room to interpret what they've seen in their own way. It uses every last bit of the visual real estate to tell a compelling, satisfying story that still leaves you wanting more. One of the beautiful parts of the movie is that there isn't a single minute wasted. ![]()
